First Day of Kindergarten

I don't know how it happened...my sweet baby boy is now a kindergartener!!!  It still hasn't totally sunk in that 5 years went by in the blink of an eye. Last spring, we prayed long and hard about where to send him to school and we couldn't be happier with the school God provided. It is close to our church plant, has a diverse student community, and does well academically. Initially, we were a little bummed that Ethan couldn't go to Mark's school due to being out of district. However, God knew what was best for our little boy and we will continue to trust in His perfect plan.

So on his first day, Ethan went in with confidence and smiles. He had been excited for so long, it was hard to believe the day was finally here. Afterwards, we went to celebrate with cupcakes and his best friend Kylie (who also started kindergarten on the same day, but different school).

I am so proud of Ethan and so far he absolutely LOVES school. Considering we were a little nervous sending him as a 4 year-old, he has adjusted quickly and wakes up in the morning so excited to get to class.  He has a wonderful teacher and every day he comes home happy and full of stories from the day. He is already making friends and enjoys art, music, PE, counting, listening to stories and his favorite...recess. We pray every morning that he will be a light of God's love to his class and a blessing to his teacher. We really couldn't be happier with our son's missions' field!

Here are some pictures of his first day:
