Where Did November Go?

So my mom has become completely side-tracked from updating this blog for the past few weeks. Life just sort of crept up on us. And then there is the fact that we just plain forgot to take pictures. Forgot to take pictures of Thanksgiving, forgot to take pictures of Mommy's birthday...what we were we thinking? There is just one explanation for everything:

My mom has Pregnancy Brain!

So I guess we'll start with our biggest news first. Tomorrow we will officially be 11 weeks pregnant! Mom has been feeling quite yucky for a few weeks now, although anti-nausea medication has provided some relief. However, this has greatly effected the energy and excitement level around here. Our official due date is June 23rd, but since Mom went 5 days late with me, we'll just say it's the 28th to keep us all happy. I can't wait to be a big brother...whatever that means!

Posing with a pregnancy test...is that weird?

Thanksgiving was a quiet day. We stayed home due to Mom's lack of enthusiasm to leave the house and ate early so that Mom could eat before she got her daily bout of afternoon nausea. The rest of the day consisted of naps and football...can't ask for more than that! Sorry, no pictures. Just close your eyes and I'm sure you can imagine the whole thing!

The day after Thanksgiving we got to see some of our dear friends from Flagstaff, Bob, Tami and Kristen Valles. Though the visit was short, it was wonderful to catch up on life and see familiar faces!

The Valles Family (minus Kacie, who was with family)

Reunited with my first baby-sitter, Kristen

Then there was Mommy's birthday. She turned 30 and is soooo old now! Mommy says she spent a few hours mourning the days of her youth, but then decided that being 30 is okay since she is happily married to a wonderful man, has a precious baby boy, is looking forward to being a mom of two and feels blessed to have a beautiful home. Mom was spoiled by her best friend, Nicole, who treated her to a day at a spa for facials and then a yummy dinner at PF Changs. Mommy's actual birthday consisted of our first snow fall (which was quite beautiful!), having a day off from "Mom Duty", going to a delicious Italian lunch, Daddy renting a total chick flick to watch with her, and of course, naps! It was a great day.

First "real" snowfall of the season

So now you're all caught up and Mommy promises to take more pictures in the future! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and experience much joy as we enter the Christmas season!

Congratulations!! What exciting news! I hope you start feeling better soon :) Happy Birthday by the way... my 30th is less than a month away now, so I can relate to the mourning of youth. Hee hee! We'll be praying for another healthy pregnancy and baby, keep us updated here in blogville!
