Brookie at 18 Months

Brooklyn is just growing up so fast...I can't seem to keep up. So here is a little update on her life.

Favorite Activities: Playing with her play kitchen, pretending to be scary animals (lions, tigers, bears...oh my!), jumping off the coffee table onto the couch, and pretty much anything that involves height, speed and adrenaline.

Favorite Toys:
Her dolls, which she loves to snuggle and pretend to be their mommy

Favorite New Words: "love you", "baby, baby, baby...OH!", "all done", "moon", "mine", "let's go", "peez!", "tank you", and she can count to five. She loves training the dog and can say, "Sit, Gee gee (Gracie). Good girl." Her brother is also teaching her some letter sounds and she's an excellent student, repeating whatever he says back to him accurately.

Favorite Person: Her brother. Ethan doesn't realize how lucky he is to have a sister that can pretty much keep up with him at such a young age. Those two can play for hours in his room, mostly pretending to be firemen, singers/musicians, and pirates (well, Ethan is typically the pirate and Brooklyn is some sort of wild animal that he "kills". I have no idea where they came up with that!) It is hilarious to stand by the door and just listen to the little conversations they have as they play. So cute!

Did I mention she is the messiest child I've ever seen?
Oh well, we love her anyway!

Next on her to-do list of achievements...potty training. Ethan was 3 when we got serious about it...we think Brooklyn might be ready at 18 months. We shall see!
