Visitors From the East

A few weeks back, we had the joy of hosting Mark's sister Jodie and brother-in-law Abrahm. They had ventured out west from Brooklyn, NY to attend a conference in Denver and go skiing in Winter Park. Having them here was quite bittersweet. We had such a fantastic time...playing catch in the living room, venturing out to Boulder, celebrating Abrahm's birthday with a pancake and olive breakfast (don't ask!), and having good conversation. But then it made it exceptionally sad when they had to leave because we don't get to see them very often. They are the kind of family that you wish lived next door. They are ridiculously talented, intelligent, and well-traveled...but also lots of fun, easy to talk to and very humble. Our kids had a fabulous time with them as well and were completely spoiled.
