A Splash of Color

This year, my mom is absolutely addicted to taking pictures of the beautiful fall colors that are all over Denver. Maybe it's because aside from one year in New York, mom has only lived in places that had trees that hardly changed in the fall.

San Diego just does not have seasons. You can go the beach in January, for goodness sakes. And Flagstaff does have some color change, but it is mostly yellow Aspen leaves.

Denver, on the other hand, is a canvas splashed with vibrant reds, burnt oranges, and brilliant yellows. These pictures were taken across the street from our house. Mommy will be very sad when the leaves fall off and we're stuck with many long winter months of dreary-looking trees.
