Welcome Home, Gavin!

Since we were only at the hospital for about 36 hours, we didn't have our kids come. It wasn't until we arrived home on Sunday afternoon that our friend dropped them off and they were able to meet Gavin for the first time. It was hilarious! Ethan and Brooklyn were immediately enthralled with him and wanted to hold him and give him love. Jackson on the other hand...not so much. He took one peek at his little brother and then went and hid under the Christmas tree! He eventually started to warm up to him and by the next day was all about "baby". He has proven to be a very caring and gentle big brother, he just needed some time to adjust!

The next day GG arrived from California to meet the newest (and last!) grandson and Auntie Nicole also stopped by. Everyone wanted to have their snuggle time with little Gavin.

Brooklyn was immediately in baby heaven

Ethan was thrilled as well

Jackson...not so much. Poor third born.

They couldn't get enough

Notice how interested Jackson is...

He finally started coming around

Apparently mothers aren't essential
to the "family photo". Ahem.

Jackson reluctantly giving a kiss,
mostly because of parental pressure

By Day 2, he was all about holding "baby"

And even giving spontaneous kisses

When Gavin wasn't being held by our mother hen

Who could not get enough baby time

GG finally arrived to get in on the fun

And even Auntie arrived to welcome the final Mitchell

Beautiful little boy and family! Glad to hear that everything is going well. I hope adjusting to life with 4 littles goes well - lots of time and grace!
